    Chronolapse Dragon Sketches Underway

I’m working on putting together a visual-provoking time-lapse. I experimented with software called Chronolapse. It has a feature to take screenshots every second or the amount you specify. Whats more is that it can combine all of the images into a video. I decided to use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, but it quickly becomes a chore to figure out how to output simple motion video. For example, I didn’t know what to set the frame rate too, and I didn’t want to spend hours figuring it out.  When I have time, I might return to adobe and figure it out, unless somebody knows how to create a simple time-lapse. Chronolapse is excellent, but for some reason, Adobe Premiere is trying to provoke me. In other words, it didn’t take the MPEG format. Nor does Adobe Media Encoder. Therefore, I have to resort to using a dependable FREE VLC Fix!

    Chronolapse

Earlier I used Open Broadcast Software to create a video, but it is to heavy on my tablet resources. If I continue to use OBS, my poor tablets resources cannot keep up with Sketchbook Pro. For example, when I draw, it slows down my brush strokes and makes it hard for me to stay focused. Later on, I realized that I had to throw out the time-lapse created in Chronolapse. When I imported my video tracks into Adobe Premiere, the duration of the video becomes 1 second. Therefore an hour was lost in trying to convert and combine simple video.

    VLC is Good

I ended up saving all of the video files using VLC. Spending 3-4 days trying to do this task is a bit much? I get about an hour to work on this, but that’s it. I’m not going to give up of course, in fact, I outline my goals in my Striving to Become a Professional Artist page.

Is feedback a good thing right?

The great thing about this experience is that I will look for another way to speed up my workflow. I’m open to new ideas if you have recommendations.

Mercy Can Have Closure and So Can I

    Mercy For the Simple 👼

Please have mercy, today was a simple day, more straightforward than usual. I woke up with a plan to visit my girl. In the same light, I needed to pack. I knew I would be staying for a few days. As a result, I packed two pairs of everything. For example, I got my socks and underwear. Yet, I dislike packing because I never have any way to organize. Thus, a few months ago I put in some time and researched ways to pack better. Thereupon, I discovered packing cubes and simplified my life. After I finished packing and getting ready, I left to catch my train to work.

    The Timeless Knowledge Train 🚂

My train ride seemed longer today. I forgave the train for its lateness. Then, I started working on a dragon head in 3/4 view. In other words, this view is harder to draw because it shows action and direction. Besides, I started reading Dragonart: How to Draw Fantastic Dragons and Fantasy Creatures. For example, from that book, I created a few sketches of circle and line shapes. Also, I made sure that I used a blue pencil because it will make it easier to sketch on top with a red pencil. Thus, you can achieve a cleaner and faster result. If you combine layers, pencil color and lower the opacity. Without delay, my train reached its destination and I rushed out to reach work.

    Can thoughts be actionable? 🎬

At work, I had many different thoughts. For example, I had wanted to resolve some coding issues for a while. Yet, all I can say is that the day was productive and work got done. In contrast, I had some issues with WordPress Publicize. Also, I got upset at the engineers, but I showed mercy and asked them to add a new feature. For one thing, I learned that many of the connected services do not include the tags I create for the post. For this reason, I lose impressions on Twitter and other social platforms. Yet, Tumblr is the only service that posts the tags. Thus, after speaking with “Happiness Engineers”, they recommend trying somethings. Either getting a plugin or inserting tags into the custom message. Afterword, the day went by fast and I made my way to my girl’s place.

    Morning Dragon Nest 🐲

I woke up with lots of energy, jumped out of my nest and ready to go! Not even close, I had to reward myself with an extra 6 mins of sleep. As a matter of fact, my mind didn’t want to shut up with noise about the alarm going off in a few minutes. By the same token, I got up, made some cereal and got ready for work. With the intention, of making it to the train station and getting to drawing my dragon.

    Short Train Ride 🚆

Without delay, I sat down and started drawing! Then again, I sat down elbow to elbow between two beauties and got nervous for a moment. Yet, I thought for a moment that my goal is to become an awesome artist. In light of that, I immediately pulled out my pen and tablet to start drawing. Likewise, I opened up DragonArt book and flipped to the page with a dragon head. As a matter of fact, you can get Dragonart: How to Draw Fantastic Dragons and Fantasy Creatures on Amazon. To the end of that, I was able to create a quick dragon sketch as my train neared the final stop.

At Work, Lunch is a Precious Time! ⏰

Sooner or later, I arrived to work and put on my computer programmer hat. Despite, lunch came around and allowed me to work on my blog. Not only, I was able to take a few quick snapshot of my dragon, food, and book. Not to mention, I posted to Instagram because I heard its a good idea to share small snippets of work. By the same token, you can read Extend Your Blog’s Reach with Instagram. Of course, that time went by fast, back to work and then home to write you a blog post!

Dragon Egg: How to be Inspired?

    Dragon Egg

First of All, I received the egg challenge. I thought about dragons and what that they can hatch eggs. Thus, I went and looked up the definition of an Egg. It’s defined as an oval or round object laid by a female bird, reptile, fish, or invertebrate. The eggs of birds closed in a chalky egg-shall, while those of reptiles are in a leathery membrane. Besides, I’ve drawn dragons before, when I wrote about How to Draw a Dragon: 6 steps?

    The Scene

In spite of dragon and egg objects, I started getting lost in what I was trying to carry out. Earlier, I had some ideas of drawing a lavish scene with gold, large eggs and dragons. Yet, to simplify my goal, I needed to come up with a story. Then, I thought about family, how much the dragon wants to protect the egg from harm. Also, I wrote an article to show how to list out ideas – What’s Fluffy While You Take The Train? Finally, I started setting time goals because I could have spent the day sketching away.

At the same time, if your curious how I created this scene check out Proxy: What Destruction Can be Caused by War? It has some tips on how to set up an environment before you start drawing. Also, when you lose focus, I recommend that you try to think about why you started the challenge. Not to mention, I had a similar issue when I wrote Neighbors: How to Draw them & Improve Your Focus?

I’m curious to know or your curious to know ⁉️

Besides, I recorded a short time-lapse of me drawing this piece. I will link it in this post when its ready. Additionally, this is free for you to see my technique. Also, let me know if this should the video be short or long? Furthermore, if your interested in how to name your post, read How to Make Tagline That You’ll Love?

  • What’s fluffy while you take the train?

What’s fluffy while you take the train?

Fluffy thoughts while I take the train

It started with an email; an email led to an idea. On my way to the train station, I was thinking about what is fluffy. Before I committed, I made a quick list of everything that my brain can think of and started drawing sketches in my sketchbook app. If your curious what this app is and where to get it, head over to the sketchbook website over here. Another thing to note, I had tried to limit my creative time to my train ride because I was on my way to work. Therefore, I had to forgo reference and quickly, sketch out a hairy belly or foot. Then I thought, I hope nobody is looking at what I’m drawing, but whatever, at least I’m bringing. However, that gave me an idea, and I decided to pull something from before, that wasn’t as soft and fluffy.

    Fluffy Prompt

Later, that day, I knew I had to publish this before lunch. Releasing before my meal is important because people are relaxing and are on their phones browsing the internet of things. Therefore, is my best chance, I opened up Photoshop and Google Snapseed to finish off processing the images. Eager to hit the publish button, I quickly wrote up the post and put together the SEO. I used a similar technique when I show you How to Show Flow & Promote Scene Passion?

Here is the list I came up with

    • Clouds
    • Pillows
    • Feathers
    • Belly
      • Human Parts like belly, foot
    • Warm up in bed in the morning
    • Pets
      • Cats
      • Wolf Dogs
    • Flowers
      • Daffodils
    • hairball
    • Marsh Mellows (I think I saw some product online)

    Then, I created these drawings.

Not everything is as soft and puffy, so I draw a quick dragon head. Learn how to draw a dragon in 6 steps here. You can also buy the DragonArt.

How to Make Tagline That You’ll Love?

    Plunder My Art

~Art through the eyes of a Wabbit

    What inspired that tagline?

I wanted to create a tagline that reflects me, my personality, and blog’s subject. I want to create inspiring art for others to plunder! Rabbits can take on many personalities, so I thought it would be fitting. The origin of my new tagline was created by listing adjectives that describe me.

    • quick
    • energetic
    • enthusiastic
    • strong willed
    • honest
    • friendly
    • gentle (usually)
    • sensitive
    • intelligent
    • leader (aspiring)

I recommend these books to focus…

    Steal like an artist

Immature poets imitate; mature poets steal; bad poets deface what they take, and good poets make it into something better, or at least something different. – T.S. Eliot

I like how the author uses this this quote in the book because it encourages learning from inspiring artists. You can check this book out here.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck

The key to a good life is not giving a fuck about more; it’s giving a fuck about less, giving a fuck about only what is true and immediate and important. – Mark Manson

Interestingly, this is exactly the reason why I want to come up with a tile and tagline, otherwise my original – vykantor, artist | thrill seeker seems to general, what do you think? You can check out that book here.

Today’s featured image is a dragon

    Consists of a fire-breathing, four-limbed, winged beast.
    – J “NeonDragon” Peffer.

The author does a good job inspiring you to draw, yet challenging enough to make it fun. Read more here.

Read More tips about on tag lines here.

    Aside

Having all these good things isn’t always easy and that is why I decided to also include my weakness. You can read more about me here.

    • oblivious
    • easily gets upset over critique, when something is not well understood
    • gets discouraged to make decisions when something is new
    • don’t always think before I speak

    Other Thoughts…

Do you think that it is better to be friends with like minded people or accept there differences and feel somewhat uncomfortable? Of course it depends on your situation… It could be that you just don’t get along and it might be best to move on to another group. If you can relate let, me know in the comments below. What did you try to do that helped?
