How to Mine Monero on iPhone and iPad: Complete iOS Mining Setup Guide

Hi folks, recently been consumed by the Monero privacy coin world and installing it on my devices. While putting the rig on an Android device is easy, putting it on an Apple device (iPhone, iPad) requires more finesse. I needed several things to get the rig working.

Here is the short list… 😅

Before I invest time writing the steps, let me know in the comments if you’re interested in that type of content. If there is enough excitement, I’ll update the rest of the post. Feel free to subscribe and let me know what you would like me to try or document. In the meantime, here is a screenshot of it running on my iPad, for your viewing pleasure : ) …

How I Overcame Acid Reflux: Personal Insights and Simple Exercises for Relief

    My Personal Journey

    How I Solved Acid Reflux?

After carefully reviewing the autobiographical case report, I realized that it’s about resistance training, specifically for the esophageal tube connecting to the stomach. The idea is to keep the head below my stomach in a kneeling posture. (I’ll have a diagram below) Then kneel on a platform while eating your meal. My favorite time is during breakfast because I set myself up with Oatmeal.

I curated a list of my top ingredients for Oatmeal

While visiting my ENT, he recommended I use mint chocolate rescue after eating to prevent acid from coming up. I tried both techniques together and saw restorative results. If you found the experience helpful, let me know if it helped you feel better throughout the day.

Exploring Windows 8.1 Pro: Turbocharging My Old Sandy Bridge i7 with OBS, Stream Deck, and More

The last few weeks were about exploring Windows 8.1 Pro. My goal was to see if I could get my good old Sandy Bridge i7 fully engaged with the Sabertooth Z77 motherboard. After some time, I installed all the drivers after much trial and error. Upon initial installation, I noticed that the operating system runs faster than Windows 11.

Yes, I know, Windows is super old, but it runs so nicely with my old computer. Also, I got to toy around with Lucid GPU to CPU (iGPU), but I wasn’t sure if it had any impact because I’m running an RTX 3060 Ti OC. I accomplished a modest overclock of 4.6 using Liquid Metal thermo solution.

More recently, I became fascinated with Obsidian, Git, Open Broadcaster, OpenDeck, and Stream Deck. I wanted to see if it was possible to install all of them successfully on Windows 8.1 Pro. The challenge was finding the correct version that allows the installer to do its job. Obsidian was locked at 1.1.16, but worked nicely with most of my plugins. Surprisingly, the release is from 2023. I was impressed that the team supported Windows 8.1 for so long. Meanwhile, GIT installed perfectly without any tweaks.

Moving to OBS and Stream Deck, I faced many issues. Especially getting them to talk to each other. OBS has a script that allows me to connect via sockets. However, BarRaider’s OBS Tools don’t work on version 27. What’s worse, using the hotkey trick with OBS is not effective because the program has to be in focus.

I ended up going to Gemini AI and asking it to write me a Python script to communicate with the sockets. The goal was to switch scenes. I created two batch files with commands that called my Python script. It took a while, but I successfully got the OpenDeck to use “Run Command”, engaging OBS.

    C:\Program Files\obs-studio\data\obs-plugins\frontend-tools\scripts\obs_controller.py

Meanwhile, OBS and Elgato Stream Deck software are locked to an older version and require me to extract the files from the installer and manually copy them. I used a GitHub repository called ElgatoLegacy. Afterwards, I had to copy over a few DLLs, and boom, the program runs with its default programs. However, installing plugins isn’t easy. Since the Elgato community moved to the online marketplace, it no longer supports my old version.

Eventually, I got both Stream Deck, OpenDeck, and OBS working. I was so thrilled that I could fully engage my old hardware and live stream or record while using my favorite tools. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any thoughts or ideas.

  • How to Make Herbal Tea 🍵

How to Make Herbal Tea 🍵

    Ingredients

    • Black pepper
    • Himalayan salt / pink salt
    • Fennel seeds
    • Anise
    • Cinnamon
    • Monk fruit
    • Lemon

    * You can substitute pink salt with regular salt, and monk with other sugars, such as maple syrup or manuka honey.

How to Make Herbal Tea 🍵

Okay, ladies and gentlemen, we’re making tea. All right, let’s do this. So first thing, let’s add some pepper, a pinch. Now we add the salt. We don’t know how it’s going to taste, but know it’s going to be good no matter what. So, the reason why we’re adding pepper and turmeric is because it’s a common disinfectant. We just add a little bit, and it should mix well with the stuff. So, it’ll be going into the water. Then we add some anise, not the whole thing, cause you want to break off the little seeds, cause it’s too strong. Otherwise, I think two should be enough. I’ll find out after I drink it how great this thing is.

And then, what I like to do is add not peppermints but actually fennel seeds to improve stomach digestion. Just need a little bit. Um, what else do I do? I think that’s it. Let me just check what’s up here. Oh, I like to add some cinnamon. Actually, I have a very special treat for you: it’s organic Vietnamese Cinnamon, let me just put a little bit in there.

Okay, and you don’t want your tea to be flat, so what you do is you add some organic sugars, and I happen to have a well-priced monk fruit sweetener. So, let’s see, don’t be too kind with it, just pour most of its in. Just kidding, just a little bit. Okay, nice and sweet, so this way your drink is ready for healing. All right, and then you have a boiled tea kettle ready to go. Then we pour it into the cup.

And then you take one of your refrigerated lemons, and you plop one in and hope for the best. Oh, you can actually squeeze it into your cup! Woh watch for the splash back, and then you take your spoon, and you give it a stir. Of course, you get to do a poison test, so let’s see.

Let me know what you think of the Herbal Tea. 💭🚀

Rediscovering Connection: A Journey Towards Self-Worth and Meaningful Relationships

The question I should ask myself.

    • 🚀 Am I doing the work out of Fear or Joy?
    • How can I remember ⚡ to think about that question? 🤢

If I want to attend any social event, I can slow down my mind through meditation. For me, it’s all about creating a large enough gap between reacting and socializing with people. If the relationship is meaningful, I will do what is needed to keep my mind at peace.

    Another perspective raises questions:

    • Why must the relationship be meaningful for me to be a joy?
    • Why can’t I find happiness and give my whole positive self away without fear? 😎
    • I Am Worth it!

    Story Time ✨

Many times throughout the day, I’m hit with tasks and thoughts of not being enough for myself. I can try to justify my worth because I exist. All I need is myself. Speaking to a coworker, I learned nobody can redefine my existence or worth. However, somehow, a trauma is locked inside of me. When I was a young lad, I found myself isolating. My father didn’t treat me well when I was younger. Later, I came to know that my dad’s parents were abusive to him.

I regularly overwork, eat sweets, or numb myself with food and movies. What has helped me so far is awareness. I’m trying to forgive my father. Writing about these events may give me a way forward.

I have not reached a connection with myself. However, I know that it exists, and therefore, I exist. I must continue to slow down to become aware. Then, I can further improve my meaningful connection with family and close friends.

Well, that is for rediscovering a connection. Feel free to leave your thoughts below if any words resonate with you. 😊

What is the best Audio Interface for a Neumann Microphone?

What is the best Audio Interface for a Neumann Microphone?

To discover the answer to the question above, I asked the experts on YouTube the following questions.

    Responses

@nickiden I think there’s a lot of really good options. had a motu 828 in the past and really liked it. If you are looking for something 2 channel UA volt or the ssl 2+ worked great.

    Link to answer

@BoloDaProducer – Any of the newer interfaces will work well. Focusrite, SSL, Audient, USD, and Presonus are my faves 👍🏾

    Link to short

@hayden.exclusive you can’t go wrong with a Scarlet interface. It is very reliable and also has air button for vocals; Apollo (processing power isn’t good software) can be good, but only if you’re making a lot of money to spend so much on an interface, use the Scarlett; love it.

    Link to short

@Patrick Breen I have not owned that audio interface, however I’ve heard nothing but positive things. Most of the well known interfaces on the market will do a fine job with this mic (UAD, Apogee, RME, Antelope are the brands I like.) What I’d focus on is getting a really good preamp to pair with this mic. This mic is definitely designed to sound great when plugged directly into an interface, but a preamp will help you get even more out of the mic. The WA73-EQ is probably my favorite budget preamp. Hope that helps!

@PatrickBreenMusic i was planning on buying the Motu MK5, but i ended up buying the Audient Evo 16, I think most sound car nowadays has really good components and translate well enough your analog signal, you should purchase the one that fits your input and output needs as well as features.

@ZPJ_Studio I have not owned the MOTI MK5. However, I recommend the USB-UAD apollo twin (used is fine), and get the LA-6176 Signature Channel Strip for US $39. Later you can get other channel strips and even get an outboard channel strip as well, if money alllows.

@blakeg703 Hey there! I haven’t owned a Windows machine in a LONG time, wish I could help more. A great interface I used to have, that was affordable, and should work equally on Mac or Windows, is the Komplete Audio 1 by Native Instruments. It’s like $100 bucks, clean pre amp, works fine. I’ve also heard great things about Scarlet interfaces for the price! I hope that helps.

    Link to short

Gain on a mic is crucial for optimal sound quality.

@blakeg703 haven’t used those exact interfaces, but find most of the time, about half way turned up works for me on the gain.

    Link to answer

@geniusvybz I try to stay around 10 db as highest db while recording, that way i have plenty of space to add my effect with no issue.

    Link to answer

@ZPJ Studio 2d ago (edited) Typically, I set the gain on the Audio Interface at zero, and then adjust the mic preamp gain to a setting that doesn’t peak the indicator light on the interface, during singing or speaking. It often depends on how far you are from the mic and how loud you are singing or talking, so there are several factors at play here. Essentially, keep an eye on the peak indicator light so that it doesn’t enter the red zone. Yellow/Orange is OK. Red means the signal is overloaded and the audio file will clip, so ease back on the gain or trim settings of your mic preamp till you get that optimal setting.

Embracing Uniqueness: Finding Balance and Celebrating the Journey

Similarly, I want to be mine; nobody else can have me. Sometimes, I create the art. No three hands are ever alike. I desire to focus my creative flow on the 12 favorite problems. As I told myself, I could stand out by focusing on what was vital to me.

In CoDA, Promise Five speaks about recognizing and embracing the importance of uniqueness.

“I know a new love and acceptance of myself and others. I feel genuinely lovable, loving, and loved.”

Celebrate the Joy in the Journey: Recover with Color! A recommendation from the CoDA group. I haven’t tried it myself. However, I run an art Meetup and occasionally draw with them.

Following that great energy, I can come to know Promise Six and recognize others as equal to myself. Only after accepting myself can I do what is needed to make my energy vibe attractive, whether it’s a drawing artist date or a 23-minute walk near the Canal. Many times during the month, I find myself meditating in the evening or morning when I’m working from home. I am responsible for feeding my energy and finding the balance to keep me going. Otherwise, I will choose fear and denial patterns.

Some time ago, I saw a person racing behind me. I tried to go faster and felt a feeling of strength. I wanted to control the situation; I didn’t want them to beat me. In the past, it happened to me when people behind me were racing. I remember when I had a cyclist going fast on the boardwalk racing behind me. I decided to try to keep up by running like a crazy person, only to learn that I would fail.

Later, I learned that I was experiencing a trigger of not being good enough and stressing over my situation. I have difficulty identifying my feelings. In CoDA, that is the denial pattern. Of course, I can argue that it could be a control issue here, but I’m not sure which. I was running to get fit and somehow have clarity when all I needed was to stop and slow down.

  • Balancing Act Navigating Meditation and Distractions in Daily Life

Balancing Act Navigating Meditation and Distractions in Daily Life

Occasionally, I come across gems in my favorite problem area. [[How can I meditate before acting]]. In particular, I would like to explore how I can [[Schedule time to mediate to keep the balance]].

Balancing Act Navigating Meditation and Distractions in Daily Life

To find balance, I must create a schedule to help me slow down and reflect on my thoughts. My goal is to meditate in the morning and evening. Similarly, the [[45-minute Meditation is required to reach my mind peacefully]]. I can mitigate the negative thoughts that affect me. I can meditate to slow them down for the evening to feel better for a moment. For example, when I eat mindfully, it takes the mind 20 minutes to register that I’m full or done eating. Likewise, it takes the mind 20 minutes to calm down to receive the wisdom.

Sometimes, patience comes in many forms. [[To wake up the whole body, I need to feel pain across the body]]. Ignoring the pain and allowing myself to listen and continue to note will give me wisdom. The practice will allow me to see what is in my mind. Then, I can answer more and be more attentive to the information around me.

However, I will be lost if I play games, work past 10:30 p.m., or am distracted. Of such caliber, [[My morning routine got interrupted because I saw a notification for Pokémon Go]]. My phone sent me a promo code for Pokémon Go. I felt inspired and curious to see what the notification would reward me. Later on, I reflected on the event and had many thoughts. I spent too much time on the app. I can’t have it installed. Too addictive. My morning routine got interrupted because I saw a notification for Pokémon Go; I decided to give it another go. I spent 2 hours on it and finally decided to delete it cos it was too much work. I went on YouTube and found a video on deciding which Pokémon to keep; the YouTuber, Poke Daxi, suggested using a search query for PVP. I’m sharing it cos I found it helpful in sorting through junk Pokémon.

    0-1attack&3-4defense&3-4hp

Also, he suggested another search query for raid ranks.

    `4attack&3*`

Meanwhile, I’m excited about using the star ⭐ in the game! It will be so much fun preparing for labeling and transferring my Pokémon. I can’t wait to free up space and organize my Pokémon collection!

In his video, he recommended going to a rank checker to decide which Pokémon are worth keeping. However, after 2 hours, I decided to give up because there was lots of competition, and I preferred to spend my time growing spiritually.

Ultimately, I learned that I need to use my time wisely. In the future, I figured I would share my experience in writing so that, hopefully, others don’t fall into the endless trap of rewards.
