Doodle 109: Subscriber Page, Patron, Artwork

Doodle 109 Let's Draw: Cocktail Party, Ball Drop, and The New Unknown

Hi, friends,  Let’s start at doodle 109.

Initially, I will focus on updating progress on Patron WordPress, redesigning the subscriber page, and IINYC Meetup. Then grab your favorite drink, and let’s dive in!

Subscriber Page for Doodle 109

A few days ago, I came across a YouTube video by Emily Harvey, who inspired me to redesign my subscriber page

The title of her video was how to launch a Patreon | My Tips & Experience. Also, the biggest takeaway I got was the idea of building anticipation for the things your making.

Patreon Tips From Emily

My goal is to set up a small membership area for doodle 109, but more on that later.

The subscriber page needed to be attractive and straightforward, so I went on Google and found a Divi tutorial. Then the creator labeled his video with the title: How to Design an Attractive Subscribe Section for Any Website with Divi.

Besides, my favorite part of the subscriber page was its attractive wave design that leads the viewer to the subscribe form.

What do you guys think of the page? Will it work?

Progress on Patron

Guys, I started researching what I can offer my patrons, and to my surprise, I found that providing too much isn’t a good thing for doodle 109. Then, create a few tiers and give them a creative name.

Then, I came up with three names based on rabbit types, Netherland Dwarf, Rhinelander, and Flemish Giant. The Dwarf being the first and the Flemish is the largest.

Later on, I’m planning to expand and adjust the incentives and tiers.

Why would anybody want to pay to support an artist

  • Access/Insight
  • Engagement
  • Fan recognition
  • Digital bonus
  • Physical Goods

So I wrote down everything I could about these topics and started looking into what I could offer. Also, the idea is to give your fans incentives, the warmth and love to commit every month.

Patreon Rewards for Artist

However, don’t give too much where it will hinder your art and make the quality terrible. Once I have a sound plan, and I will release more details in that area.

In other news, I’m trying to figure out how to set up a membership to get you guys a sneak peek on Generative Art.

You would get first dibs before anybody else will see. Then, I was thinking of charging 1$ a month for the prerelease.

Do you guys think I’m on the right track?

IINYC Meetup for doodle 109

Every Wednesday and Saturday, I participate in a drawing Meetup called the Imaginative Illustrators of NYC.

During the last few live-streams, I realized that I need to write a retrospective, and my goals to continue working on my art if I decide to come back.

Let’s Draw Rock Formation with DIET

As my live-streams go on, I feel more appreciation for the Art DIET framework. Also, it gives me security and forces me to draw until I find myself.

My all-time favorite section is tracing because it allows me to be a kid again.

What makes you feel like a kid again?

Finish Line

Nevertheless, let us close out with the rock study drawing of the new unknown. Also, I will leave you with a question in the comments, go ahead and try to answer it. Finally, at the end of the Doodle 109, a few related articles might interest you.
