Drawing Plan 54: Bam, bang, baa, bark. Buzz, bray, bloop.

Hi, friends, for the drawing plan 54, yesterday, I live-streamed on Zoom for Aspiring Artists of NYC. My friend also practiced his line quality exercises while I watched Alphonse Dunn and Marc Brunet create rocks. Then, he wanted to focus on the human body, which I want to do, but I’m starting simple. In other words, my goal is to understand how forms work before I move to complex shapes. In the end, the live-stream went well, so let’s try to bam over the drawing plan 54.

Learning with Marc Brunet and Alphonso Dunn on YouTube

After work, we watched the Shameless series while finishing up dinner and chores. Then I moved on to learn how to write. Also, I want to start world-building to improve my artwork. While participating in the Imaginative Illustrators of NYC, I noticed that I don’t have any ideas. During the Meetup, our hosts give us prompts to stimulate drawing, but I don’t see to fall in love with anything until I dive into a stream of consciousness. In other words, I need to write out my ideas until I have something concrete. Therefore, I need to learn more about world-building and even comics. Anyhow, let’s try to bang over to the drawing plan 54.

    Learning path to World-Building

Towards the end of my day, I started watching McKay & Gray explain how to plot a Comic From Start to Finish. Also, he covers the five central stepping stones to building a story. Namely, intro, inciting incident, midpoint, climax, and resolution. However, I don’t know if that is the best way to tell a story, so I plan to spend a little more time researching the area until I start. My goal is to create a comic so that I can improve my drawing. Finally, let’s bark over to the drawing plan 54.
